The other morning Beau joined Bella on our bed for some play time.

Beau 2.0

On September 14 Beau turned 2. He's becoming such a big boy (25lbs, 8 oz to be exact), it's sort of sad to see my baby grow so fast. As of 2 years he's able to eat pretty much anything without fear of choking or an allergic reaction. He loves to play with Bella, in fact, he has a hard time concentrating in the morning until he's said "good morning" to Bella. Some mornings when he's awake before us, he goes into Bella's room, talks with her and fills her crib with balls. He's very active and has the scarred knees to prove it. He can count to 20 (sort of...he misses 14 and 15), and can recognize Big A and B as well as little a and b. He knows about 60 signs and his favorite songs are Jesus Loves Me, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Happy Birthday. He continues to love to read. His favorite books are Wake Up Rooster, Not Norman, and Sing Along Bible. His favorite TV shows are Little Einsteins, Wonder Pets, Miss Spider's Sunny Patch and My Friends Tigger and Pooh. It's been a busy year.

The Noma's were kind enough to open their house to us for Beau's birthday. Beau had so much fun at his golf themed party. Bella was a little fussy, so I spent the majority of the party in the house with her, but Beau had plenty of other family members to play with.

Auntie Love

These past few months Melissa and Christa have been watching the kids quite a bit. It's perfect for us and as an added bonus, we are all able to go to church together on Sunday when we pick the kids up.

On labor day we took Beau to a water park, which he steered clear of and headed straight for the play equipment.

The following weekend Melissa took Beau with her to a friends, son's birthday party. Melissa said Beau had a blast and didn't want to leave. What kids would want to leave when there are wagon and tractor rides.

Beau loves to rough house. The other day he made Joel throw him over and over again. Here are a few pics of his flying adventures.

Boys Will Be Boys...

I like my boys to look like boys, so that meant Beau's luscious curls had to go. Joel took him in for his last hair cut and when they returned, a lot of his curls remained. So a few weeks later Beau and I headed back to Super Cuts to get a trim. Check out his before and after pics. You be the judge, which do you like better.

Mere's Getting Married

About a month ago, we all headed to Tahoe for Meredith's Bachelorette Party. We stayed at her soon to be in-laws condo and had a good time relaxing and catching up. Unfortunately for Meredith there were 3 of us mothers having to pump every 3 hours, but we seemed to have a good time regardless of our pumping schedule.

Baby Signing Time

Over the past year we have been slowly teaching Beau sign language. As a favor at Cousin Kylie's birthday, we received signing DVD's called Baby Signing Time. So with the help of these DVD's and signing a lot during our days, he's really starting to pick up on it. Here are a few video's of Beau signing. These were taken over a month ago. Since then he's learned a lot more signs. He's up to about 50 to 60. He may not be able to actually sign all 60, but he can recognize them if we sign them. It's a lot of fun to watch him learn another language, and he's doing a pretty good job teaching Joel how to sign as well.
