Play Mat

Beau loves his play mat. He rolls all around it, wrapping his arms and legs around the bars. Here I had caught him trying to eat the bars, but before I snapped the picture, he looked up and smiled.

Baby Brooke

This past weekend Joel's cousin Kayla came into town with her new baby Brooke. Brooke's 1/4 black, just like Beau, but she has the most beautiful blue eyes. Brooke's only 2 months old and it almost as big as Beau. My little peanut better start putting on some weight or all his girl cousins are going to be much bigger than he.

Back on the wagon.

Friday night Joel and I went out with some friends and family to a local Mexican food restaurant. Parked out in front is this old fashioned wagon...only in Oakdale, the Cowboy Capitol. Joel thought it would be fun to get back on the wagon. Too bad that wasn't our last stop of the night. He promptly feel off again as soon as we reached our next destination. ;)

5 Months

As of Saturday, Valentine's Day, Beau is 5 months. How the time flies! As of 5 months he's now sitting on his own, although he's still a little wobbly. We've also mastered rice cereal. Well at least we hope we've mastered it. Every day is a little different. This week we may venture out to other veggies since he's not too keen on apple sauce and bananas.

I'm too sexy...

...for my robe, to sexy for my robe, too sexy yeah.

Tonight Beau thought he'd rock his robe. I think he's looking pretty spiffy. Although next time he may want to be a little more discrete and not show the world his diaper.

Go Directly to Jail

This morning when I went into Beau's room I was surprised to find him facing the opposite direction that I placed him in last night. Everything else seemed normal until I went around to the front. He must have been trying to escape from his crib bars, but got stuck.

While we were away...

While we were away, Beau had a great time with Nana, Papa Jim and his two aunties. Melissa took three days off work to spend with Beau and my mom took off two and everyone was home over the weekend. During his stay he learned how to eat rice cereal, a task which Joel and I were having trouble with. Although he had a cold the entire time he was with them, he remained in good spirits. We were worried he wouldn't recognize us, but when we returned he was so excited to see us and gave us a big smile. Phew!

Beach Vendors

One day in Cabo most of us spend the day dodging beach vendors, but Kelly and Joel couldn't help but be intrigued by all the vendors. In addition to Joel getting a tattoo, he also got a cowboy hat. Kelly got a little tattoo on her foot and Leah got braids. Don't worry, Leah didn't get lice from the comb the lady used. A least they passed up a few vendors, we didn't bring home any pottery, blankets, dresses or sunglasses.

Are you a face grabber?

Has anyone noticed how Jason, the Bachelor, is a face grabber. Meaning, when he kisses the ladies, and yes he's kissed ALL the ladies, he grabs their face. Kelly, my sister in law, thinks it's completely disgusting. Personally it doesn't bother me one bit. It could even be romantic at times. What do you think?

Crazy Shannon is Gone!

So, after many weeks of humiliating and embarrassing moments, we're finally down to four remaining ladies. This season is almost painful to watch because I'm so embarrassed for these ladies.

My pick, Melissa is still in the game. So those still in the game are myself, Gram, Gretchen and Kaeli. Kaeli has Molly and I have this sneaking suspicion that it will come down to Molly and Melissa.

Luckily crazy dental hygienist girl Shannon is gone, gone home to "brush her teeth with her electric toothbrush and french kiss her dog." What a wack job!

As for Cougar Stephanie, she went home last night. I have to admit it was sad to see her go although it was obvious she wasn't a good match for Jason.

Oh Be-have

While in Cabo Mark said when picking up the ladies, he only needs to strike a pose and the ladies come running to meet him. I guess this is how he snagged Kaeli. Grr, baby. VERY grr!

Really, he's standing this way because he had to complete a challenge in the game Would You Rather.

Cabo Ink

We've all heard of people making crazy political statements, but Joel went ahead and took it to a whole other level. While in Cabo he decided to get inked up.

Don't worry, it's not permanent.
