4 Months

January 14, Beau turned 4 months. During his 4 month check up we discovered that he's 24.5 inches long and weighs 13 lbs 5 ozs. It appears his head and length are growing faster than he can gain weight. Yikes, we'd better fatten up this little one. Hopefully the introduction of solid foods will help. We're going to start with rice cereal before moving on to fruits and veggies.
As of 4 months he's now rolling over from his back to tummy. I would post a video of this if I could figure out how to use our new camcorder. Since he's discovered how to roll over to his tummy he now sleeps on his tummy. There's no holding him back...believe me, we've tried.

Bachelor Update

This week three ladies were eliminated, but only Lisa and Raquel were chosen by ladies in our pool. Gram had Lisa and Ami had Raquel. Since Lisa took herself off the show, we're letting Gram pick another girl. So I'm still in it and going strong with Melissa.

After this past episode I did start to feel bad for Stephanie, the cougar. I may have mis-judged her. She seems to have a good heart. Maybe if she just wore less makeup and filled in her eyebrows she'd be more appealing. Maybe...

Well stay tuned to see who gets eliminated next.

All I can think about is PLEASE don't spit up on my head.

The Bachelor

The Kesterson ladies and I are doing a bachelor pool. Basically we all pitch in $10, pick a girl and hope Jason, the bachelor, picks our girl. I had last pick of the girls so I was a little limited with my choice of girls. But I'm pretty happy with my pick, Melissa from Dallas. Although I don't think Jason will pick her. I think he's into the old, cougar lady ...Stephanie, who's eyebrows are atrocious. He may be missing a few marbles.

He picked some really bad girls to be in his final 15. He didn't even pick the girl from Stockton and she wasn't that bad. At least he got rid of the bobble head girl with the vision boards. Anyway, stay tuned to see how far my girl makes it. GO MELISSA!

Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum

This little drummer boy was so excited when he saw his birthday present. Yesterday Joel turned 29 and his entire family pitched in to buy him this new (well, new to him) set of drums. Nothing fancy, just something for him to tinker around on. His next step is to learn how to play. Luckily they are staying at the ranch and not at our house.

So now the band consists of Bob the guitar player and Joel the drummer. Hum. I think they may need a few more instruments to be able to call themselves a band. Oh and a singer of course.

The Big 30!

January 9th is Christa's 30th birthday, but we decided to celebrate a week early. We (Melissa, Mark, Jenny, myself and Christa) headed off to San Francisco for dinner at the Stinking Rose, a place where garlic is the main course. It's been 2 days since my "Lotsa Crab" feast and I'm still reeking of garlic. YUM!

After dinner we headed off to Cobbs Comedy Club where we saw The Last Comic Standing (6th runner up) Doug Benson, whom by the way was Hi-Larious! Being the stoner that he is, Doug opened his eyes wide for the pictures as to not appear overly wasted.

The main act was Craig Robinson, who plays Darrell on The Office. He had a full band backing up his act which was very unique and entertaining. After the show we cut in line for a picture with Craig. He was more than happy to hold two beautiful ladies in his arms. Overall we had a blast. To bad Joel had to miss out on all the fun. He was feeling a little ill, so he stayed home with the little guy.

Two turn tables and a microphone

New Year's Eve was a little mellow for us this year. Actually it's pretty mellow every year. This year we headed over to Bob & Janice's house for dinner and games. After playing Scene It "The Office" version everyone started to fall asleep. So we headed out to the bar to play darts and enjoy Jon's Dj'ing skills as Joel helped to ring in the new year on the mic. Wow, we're a wild bunch!

Gap Models, Look Out

Beau received this cute little hat from Grandma Noma and PapaNinni. I think he could give those baby Gap models a run for their money.

Torguga

Last week Joel, Beau and I headed up to Pioneer to the Noma's Torguga (Spanish for Turtle) vacation home. We had such a good time sledding in the snow, playing Would You Rather and pool, and even hitting a few golf balls on the snow filled golf course. Gigi even had a blast riding around in the sled.

Before Beau headed off to bed, he enjoyed a laugh attack with Auntie Jenny. Awe...good times.

Christmas Stockings

Since Beau joined our family we decided it was time to get nicer stockings. Puff paint just doesn't cut it anymore. Beau's stocking seemed to be so big, bigger than him... or so we thought. We decided to test it out.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was somewhat of a disappointment due to the fact that I was sick. But it didn't damper Joel and Beau's Laker Spirit!

After celebrating as a family at home, we headed off to Elk Grove to celebrate with my family. As tradition, Gumbo was served, but my taste buds were a little off, so I wasn't able to fully enjoy all the flavors. We ended up heading home early and crashing. We also had to miss out on our traditional Christmas movie, Gram's Christmas Dinner, The Bearg's party and my annual girlfriends party. I guess there's always next year. Looks like my family still took a family photo without us. :(
