Peek a Boo, I See You

Tuesday mornings are bible study days. The group consists of young women who like to talk WAY to much and we have a very hard time staying on task. And to make matters worse, 4 - 5 babies are normally being bounced around on our laps. But the most fun comes in when they start crawling. This past Tuesday we peeked under the table to find Kate and Aubrie having their own party under the table.

(back that thang up)

My Lucky Charms!

For St. Patty's Day we went to Kelly & Trevor's house for corn beef and family fun. I was gone the majority of the night at church, so Joel and Beau celebrated in style... without me. But I think Kate and Beau were the real lucky charms of the night.

Back on the Juice!

That's right, you read correctly, I'm back on the juice ... coffee that is. After 15 months of going without my daily cup of coffee, I've finally started back up again.

Beau had really bad reflux and in an attempt to manage it, I was told to say off of caffine, spicy foods, onions, garlic, basically all that I love. Beau also had to take his daily dose of reflux meds.

Beginning in January I slowly started eating "bad food" again. Then at the end of January we took him off his meds, now I'm back to my daily cup of coffee. Hooray for a growing boy.

6 Months

Our little bugger has been in our lives for 1/2 a year. CRAZY! Well, actually he's been in my life for 15 months, but the last 6 months has been a lot more fun. Now I don't waddle around when I carry him.

As of 6 months he's a sturdy sitter and eating solids has become a breeze. He's still a tiny peanut, only 15 lbs. Unlike his mother, he's just not a big eater. We work really hard at getting him to eat what he does eat. That said, he loves his veggies and hates is fruits. His favorites are yellow squash, sweet potatoes and carrots. Getting him to eat avocados, bananas and apple sauce is nearly impossible.

He's not crawling yet. He can get up on all fours, but has a problem projecting forward. But, he's getting pretty good at moving backwards. From what I hear, that's the first step in crawling.

Still no teeth, although we have tons of drooling, ferociously rubbing of the gums, crying and at times slight fever. We'll see what this next months brings.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

This past Christmas our Young Married group had a White Elephant gift exchange. The most coveted gift was a framed picture of Joey and Katie. Joel was lucky enough to pick it, but it was quickly stolen by Michelle. Joel has been mourning the loss of that gift ever since.

At the Mafia party we all picked numbers for a secret special prize. AND what do you know, Joel was holding the winning number. He was SO excited when he saw it was his long lost Christmas Gift.

It's now sitting on top of our buffet in the Dining Room.

Mafia Madness

For Joey's (a friend from our young married group) 30th birthday, we celebrated it Mafia Style.

Random Cuteness

Beau likes to show off on my bed while I brush my teeth. Too cute.

Baker Bloom

Last week Amy and Baker came over for a visit. Amy even came with gifts, Butcher Shoppe...YUM!

While Beau was napping Baker thought it would be fun to climb into Beau's car seat. Hey, I think she fits perfectly.

Bachelor Finale

As of now I'm sure most of you have heard what happened on the Bachelor finale. Jason Messnick, the bachelor, proposed to Melissa. Hooray, I won the bachelor pool.

But wait... 6 weeks later he breaks up with her on national television and gets back together with Molly, the runner up. AND she took him back. Jason's a loser who has no idea what he wants and somethings wrong with Molly for taking back a man who would be so cruel as to break his fiance's heart on national television. The show was over, there was no need for that.

For all those wondering, yes, I was able to keep the money since technically he, loser J, gave the final rose to Melissa.

After staying up until 11 pm watching the show, then spending another 2 hours venting and cooling down we were exhausted the next day. Joel and big man B fell asleep while waiting for the After the Rose Part 2 to begin. Beau even left a pile of drool on daddy's arm.

Why we watch this show is beyond me.
