The Unfinished Race

In addition to Beau's love of sports, he also loves cars.  He can create a car race anywhere in the house. This particular day he had his cars all lined up ready to go, but didn't quite make it to the finish line.

Oh Bella

Bella Bella Bella...

Our little 2 year old is picky picky picky.  She continues to only eat a handful of items, but thank God, she's now added eggs and yogurt.  She's SUPER strong willed and such a girlie girl.  She prefers to wear a dress and/or tutu daily.  Her favorite color is pink, she loves princesses and shoes.  She can put together puzzles like a pro and loves to watch Signing Time.  She now weighs 28 lbs. 14 ozs. and 35.24 inches tall.  She's still hard to understand and I have to translate frequently, but she's getting better every day.  Her previously deep voice has now turned into a high pitched squeal.  And she loves to get in Noah's face and yell NO-AH!  Needless to say, Noah's scared of her.  We are in the process of potty training her.  It's slow moving, but little by little we'll get there.  Here are a few picks from Bella's summer highlight reel.

Playing hide and seek in a chip box.

Sleeping in her bathing suit.

Sleeping in her tu-tu.

Sleeping with her Buzz Lightyear while wearing Beau's slippers.

Sleeping her her Hawaiian grass skirt.

Taking pictures of herself on my phone.

 Getting ready to yell NO-AH!

Fighting her nap, came out wearing Beau's shoes.

Fell asleep in the hallway wearing her tutu, playing with trucks.

Applying Gabby's lipgloss to her entire face!

Noah's 2 Months

On May 15, Noah turned 2 months.  As of 2 months he weighs 11 lbs, 11 ozs, his head circ. is 15.59 in., and his height is 22.5 in.  Very similar to Beau.  He's doing amazing.  Eats 2 times a night as long as we stick to our daytime schedule.  He continues to sleep a lot, but when he's awake he's all smiles. He can also hold his head up like a champ!

I'm doing great as well.  My incision is now pain free and my back is feeling better.  I still feel little back pains every once in a while, but it's rare.  I joined the gym and I'm ready to get back into shape.  Wish me luck.

Dem Bones, Dem Bones

One Saturday, in early May, we went to my Aunt's house, then after a long day headed home.  3 hungry amped up kids = chaos.  Bella has a bad habit of standing in her high chair and dancing while eating.  So this particular day was filled with screams, cries, loud laughter, dancing and me attempting to soothe and comfort Noah while asking (or yelling by this point) Bella to sit down and eat as well as asking (or yelling by this point) Beau to stop screaming his dinner demands at me.  And in between all that, Beau and Bella were laughing, singing and screaming at each other throughout the meal.  Thus causing the volume level to be at an all time high.  The Result - 1 Broken Radius.  Bella fell from her chair and landed on her hand wrong.

It took a very long time to calm her down, but we just gave her Motrin and she seemed to be okay.  Maybe just a bruise.  After another long day, church and dinner night with the Kesterson's at our house, Bella was still complaining her arm hurt.  So Monday morning I called the doctor and they told me to come in after my bible study.

Since Bella was still using her arm/hand, the doctor didn't put her hand/arm in splint (believing it wasn't broken) and as a precautionary method sent us to have X-Rays done.  Dragging 3 kids from doctor's office to doctor's office was no fun.  I heard a lot of "I'm hungry" "I'm thirsty" "Stop touching me" "I was playing with that" "I can't see the video," (thank God for iPhones) and "I have to pee."  The having to pee was my favorite.  For you parents of more than 1 child you understand how hard it is to pile your whole family in a public restroom while helping one child pee and yelling at the other to not to touch everything else in the room.  AND please do not touch your infant brother with your nasty hands.  After waiting for hours, then sitting with Bella during the X-Rays all while she screamed bloody murder, we all headed back home.  After being home for a few hours, we were asked to come back to Modesto to have a splint put on her hand as it was in fact broken.  So, back we all went.

Tuesday, Bella received her Pink Cast and 2 weeks later the cast was removed.  Sigh!  I'm glad that's over with.

Princesses

We had a ton of help during Noah's first few months.  During the first month, Gabby had Bella over for a little dress up party with the cousins.  That's my girl. This Disheveled Princess!

Noah's 1 Month

On April 15 Noah turned 1 month.  As of 1 month, he's pretty much on a regular schedule.  He still sleeps a ton and but if I keep him on a daytime schedule, he sleeps better at night.  He still gets up 2-3 times a night, but his times are pretty predictable which is nice.  His belly button was still oozy so during a doctor visit to have his circumcision checked, they cauterized his belly button and it seems to be healed completely now.  He's starting to get that wonderful baby acne, but he's pretty strong.  I have a feeling he'll be rolling over in no time.

As a family, we're back to our old ways.  I'm headed back to bible study and we are all back to church.  My tummy is still healing from surgery and I'm still having a ton of pain in my back and it seems to be getting worse.  By the end of the day I can hardly lift Noah.  I'm praying it goes away soon because not being comforted by what I've googled and read.  Never google your ailments.

On a positive note, isn't Noah's smile adorable!

Beau and Bella love to hold Noah.

And take pictures with him.  Although I'm not sure why his face is so red.

Rodeo Parade & Shopping Spree

On April 13, we were able to make it to the annual Oakdale Rodeo Parade.  Beau was a little upset he missed the Monster Truck go by, but he and Bella were thrilled nonetheless to see all the floats, horses, dancers, etc. and even get some candy.

Just a boy and his hat!

Yummy Candy!

After the parade, Joel took Beau to the McHenry Golf Clinic and Aunt Mel and Aunt Chris took Bella shopping and they even let Noah and I tag along.  She loved having her aunts all to herself without her big brother's interference.  And boy did her aunts spoil her.  It was a great day!

She was like a kid in a candy shop at the Disney Store.  She tested and tried on everything.
