Movin' on Up

After 1 year of trying to sell our home, we've finally succeeded. Well, technically the house doesn't close escrow until Wednesday, but we believe this time it will stick. Although the process became unbelievably frustrating at times, we feel truly blessed that God had the entire process under control the entire time.

Our new new is just a few weeks away from being complete, so until then we'll be "stuck in Lodi" once again. I can't wait.

If another offer had been accepted earlier we would have ended up without a home for months and months. It's amazing how God's timing is not our own, but yet He's faithful in His word and continues to answer prayers. So goodbye Okie-dale for a few weeks.

8 Months

One month sure can make a difference. As of 8 months Beau's saying Mama, crawling on all 4s, and has discovered his tongue. He likes to make slurpie noises with his spit. I know, it's a little nasty, but it's also reality. He loves to read and turn the pages, sometimes I even catching him flipping through his books on his own.

He can wave Hi & Bye and has learned that when I say No No, that means trouble's a coming. So he stops what he's doing, looks at me, smiles and starts to clap...then goes right back to doing the thing I told him not to do. He's a character.

Oh, and still no teeth.

Mama

It's no surprise that Beau's first word is Mama. Hey, what can I say, the little guy loves his Mama.

Silly Beau

Beau thought it was so funny to have his shirt stuck on his head. Silly Beau!

Pacifier Race

Kate came over yesterday for a play date with Beau. Both Beau and Kate are now crawling all over the place. What a handful!
If you ever want to see babies crawl, take away their pacifier and make them crawl to it. Unfortunately Beau lost the race to his older cousin, but then again, he's only been crawling for about 5 days.

Owen Turned 5

Our eldest (and only) nephew Owen turned 5 last week. He had a big birthday bash at home where he received an enormous amount of gifts and played in a homemade fort. What a celebration!

Sorry I don't have any pictures of Owen, the fort swallowed him and when he wasn't in the fort, he wasn't really in the mood to pose for pictures. Here are few pics of the little ones. Since they aren't quite big enough to play in the fort, they squealed and batted at one another instead.

Tea Party

No... I'm not referring to the recent gathering of conservatives regarding taxes. I'm talking about a real, old fashioned tea party.

A few weeks ago my sister and mom hosted a table at their church's annual tea party. They both decorated their tables and served their guests a lovely lunch and wonderful tea. Talk about high society! We had a blast visiting and listening to a great message on the book of Ruth. What more can a girl ask for.

Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy

Beau only bounces in his chair for a few minutes before he gets bored and starts screaming. Luckily I was able to capture him bouncing while he was still happy.
