Justin's 30th

Joel's cousin Justin turned 30 earlier this month. His wife, Brinnan, threw him a surprise party at their home in Capitola. Melissa and Christa babysat the kiddos so Joel and I could attend on our own. Justin was completely surprised and we had a blast visiting and catching up. To end the night we all set up tents and camped out in the common area near their home. It was a perfect weekend.

Rollie Pollie

Bella hit another milestone!!! On July 11, she mastered rolling over from her back to tummy and has been on the move ever since. We still put her to sleep on her back, but she's always on her tummy when she wakes up. She rolls all over the living room floor and we now have to be extra careful when we place her in her bouncer, swing or on the changing table. She's one active little girl.

Earlier this month we went to Pioneer with the Noma's. During this trip Joey and Joel bathed the little ones together. They had a blast splashing around together.


Mia LOVES to swim and Beau loves to be around the pool, but he's still skittish when it comes to actually sitting down and enjoying the pool. But that didn't stop him from spending some quality time outside with Mia and the pool.

Independence Day

This 4th of July we had a family day. We did a little shopping, started working on my garden and bought a kiddie pool. When we got the pool home, it had a huge hole in it. So I went back out and bought another. Beau sill hates to swim, but we were able to lure him in a little...he only stood and refused to sit. Oh well, it's a start. While we were outside in the pool and working on the garden, Bella sat in the car practicing rolling over. With the slope of the car she made it over a few times.


After dinner, we headed down to Grams to watch the fireworks show. Beau had a blast dancing with all the cousins and lighting sparklers. Beau enjoyed the first 5 mins of the fireworks show and then got a little antsy, but I was able to keep him seated for the entire show. He makes me so proud.

Ava's 2

Beau, Bella and I went with Jenny and Mia to Ava's 2nd Birthday Party. It was such a fun party. From the moment we arrived, Beau was on the go, playing with balloons, bubbles and sliding down all the slides.

Ava looked adorable in her tutu and Jenny put together quite a spread of Ava's favorite foods. It looked like Ava had a blast on her 2nd birthday.

Discovery Museum

About a month ago, Aunt Mel (pronounced by Beau Aunt Moe) and Aunt Chris (pronounced by Beau Aunt Kiss) took Beau to the Discovery Museum in Sacramento. Bella and I came along as well. The exhibits were a little old for Beau, but he had a blast nonetheless. As I'm sure you can tell by all the pictures. We may have gone picture crazy.

Baby Doll

Grandma Noma gave Bella her first baby doll and she seems to really like it. She played so hard with it, they eventually feel asleep together in the swing.

Bella's New Man

Amy and Caleb met up with Jenny and I at the Noma's to swim. Beau of course didn't swim, he scowled at the thought of it, but Bella and Caleb (whom is 10 days older than Bella) posed for the cameras. From the looks of those smiles, I think it may be love at first sight.

Storytime

Last month I started taking the kids to Storytime at the library. At first Beau was a little apprehensive, but after going a few times and having his side kick Kate by his side, he started to warm up a bit. Unfortunately the Oakdale Library decided to take the month of July off, so hopefully we won't have get acclimated all over again in August.

Whitney took Kylie to Storytime in Lodi and Mia happened to be there with Blanca, Joey's mom. I couldn't resist showing you this picture. I think it's super cute!

One Apple, Two Apple...

One of Beau's newest talents is counting to 10. In this video, he spilled all his apples, so I asked him to count as he was putting them back into the bowl. Such a smartie.
