Look What I Can Do!

Here are a few things that Beau can now do:

• Lay down, then sit back up on his own.
• Clap
• Pick up and talk to his toy
• Oh, and of course he flashes his pearly (or pinky) gums.

7 Months

7 months today... Can you believe it?

Not much has changed in the past month. Beau is still toothless, getting him to drink his bottle is still a chore, and still no crawling. But he can get up on all fours and do a mean plank. His abs will be the envy of all the baby boys.

He's so much fun. He's laughs, babbles and has now learned how to clap. Which is his favorite thing to do. He's also turning into a bouncing machine. He loves to bounce on our laps, but struggles in his johnny jump up. I think he'll grow to love that as well.

He's still a little peanut, wearing size 3 month pants and 6 month shirts. He received a walker from Nana but he can't yet reach the ground. But soon he'll be walking all over the house.

The Lord has Risen!

Happy Easter! Our Easter day was pretty mellow. After church I took a nap while Joel and Beau played. Then we headed off to Great Gram's house for ping pong, good fun and lots of food. I'm sad to say I lost the ping pong tourney. I must be rusty. Next year I plan on reclaiming my title.

Beau took a break from being held to pose for a few pics. He loves the camera.

We also had a visit from the Easter Bunny. AKA Joel! The Easter Bunny really enjoyed the celery the kids decided to feed him.

And baby makes 3!

Congratulations to Jenny and Joey Penner! Jenny gave birth to Mia Noma Penner on April 10, 2009 at 6:20 pm. Mia was 18 inches long, 7 lbs 12 oz. Jenny is a rock star and is recovery smoothly from her c-section. Joey is so in love with his new baby girl and I have to admit, I too am in love. She's perfect in every single way. I can't wait to see and hold her again.

Beau loves loves loves music. When ever the musical guest appears on TV, he stops what he's doing and enters a music trance. He especially likes it when Ellen sings in the bathroom: "Ellen's Bathroom Concert Series." When she starts singing with her musical guest, he starts smiling and waving his hands. Is music in his future?
